Peace Learning Center is excited to announce a new way to teach peace and character education to young people – Peace Navigator - a single-user computer based e-learning tool incorporating live action video and games. Making learning fun, interactive and accessible, Peace Navigator presents real life scenarios mixed in with Peace Learning Center’s STEP system promoting respect, values, empathy, and how to deal with differences.

Celebrating 10+ years of service as Central Indiana’s only nonprofit solely dedicated to teaching peace education to the community, Peace Learning Center programs are now in operation in six states in the US, and five countries worldwide. In developing Peace Navigator, Peace Learning Center partnered with The Software Training Institute, LLC of Blacksburg, VA. Software Training Institute specializes in user-friendly E-Learning products that envelope the user in a truly interactive environment, stimulating a new level of learning!

As you explore this site, we hope you’ll become as excited about this breakthrough project as we are!

Meet you at the future!
The Peace Navigator Team

Kanji Listening is just one of many skills you can learn playing Peace Navigator! The Japanese word “kanji” means a grouping of different characters that, taken together, have special meaning. The Kanji symbol shown here for listening has 5 different elements. When combined, these elements are what are truly needed to listen and not just hear. This is also called ‘active listening’. Hearing is done with your ears. Listening requires these five elements: Heart, Eyes, Ears, Mind and Attention. For example, listening with your heart means to be compassionate. Imagine yourself as the speaker to understand how they may be feeling. Listening with your eyes means to watch their body language. Notice how they are standing and moving and the look on their face.
